Items on this page include suggestion boxes, plant stands, train tables, coat racks, cutting boards, mirror frames, and bookshelves. These items that are not included in a general category of furniture are designed on a one at a time basis for a specific client. As with all other furniture, wood is selected per job based on color, grain pattern, and moisture content. Items such as the alder and purpleheart train table take a very common item and turn it into an extraordinary piece. The coat racks are 100% solid wood, including the hooks. Taking a common piece of hardware and making it out of wood takes away the distraction of trying to match the finish of the hardware to the wood and gives it a sense of completion.

hope, blanket or keepsake chest made from rustic knotty alder. Brass hardware aged with darkening solution, full mortise chest lock, friction lid supports. Finished with oil and polyurethane.

fireplace mantel made from black walnut. Hollow box construction with 45 degree french cleat. Simulated end grain to mimick one solid piece of wood. Finished with custom walnut stain blend, walnut glaze and had rubbed oil and polyurethane

Coat rack or hall tree made from African sapele and wenge. Sliding dovetail and dowel pin joinery. Finished with tung oil and polyurethane.

Bookshelf made from maple plywood and hardwoods. Six adjustable shelves. Finished with Early American stain, oil and polyurethane.
